LUCY PEACH & MEL TAYLOR
LUCY PEACH is a stadium folk chamber pop singer songstress from Fremantle, WA with a vocal-effects pedal and a 1950’s 4 string tenor guitar. Inspired by Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan, her menstrual cycle and her convict ancestors, she has released two EPs: ‘Wax and Wane’ (2011) and ‘Silver Tongue’ (2016), enjoying national radio airplay and double J rotation. Her songwriting and live presence have lead her to support The Waifs, Tim Finn, Boy and Bear, All Our Exes Live in Texas, Xavier Rudd and Mama Kin. “A jewel in WA’s musical crown” (The West) she won the West Australian Music Industry (WAMi) award for Best Folk Act in 2016.

‘Hailing from the hills of country Victoria, Mel Taylor draws on elements of folk, pop and jazz in her original songs. Having launched her debut EP Time last year, the 23-year-old is currently in her final year of studying a Bachelor of Music (Jazz & Contemporary) at Monash University’s Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music. Joined by Isaac Gunnoo on double bass, Bec Goring on guitar & Hannes Lackmann on drums, the Melbourne-based four-piece create music that is both vibrant and contemplative.’
